GBC purchases merchandise primarily from manufacturers, wholesalers, large retailers, bankruptcy trusts and barter companies. Our buy prices are typically well below the manufacturer's cost and are based upon both the intrinsic value and the desirability of the merchandise. Our purchase prices from retailers are even further below their cost, the degree depending upon the markup that the manufacturer added to its pricing. As a result, retailers (except for large chains) should always try to liquidate their excess inventory to the consumer before calling on us. No deal is too large or too small.
